Erdoğan: 455 Thousand Housing Units Delivered
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at the handover ceremony of newly built housing units in Hatay Province — one of the provinces affected by the February 6, 2023 earthquakes — said: “After achieving a ‘terror-free Turkey,’ it will also be possible to achieve a ‘terror-free region.’”
Emphasizing the peaceful coexistence of different ethnic and religious groups in Anatolia, Erdoğan added: “Turks, Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, Sunnis, Alevis, and Nusayris are all thousand-year residents of this land. For centuries they have lived side by side, and they will continue to do so.”
The President of Turkey noted: “The identity of those who seek to create ethnic, religious, and ideological divisions among us is well known. We will remain vigilant against the plots of blood and crisis profiteers. No one can prevent the emergence of a new and strong Turkey.”
In another part of his speech, Erdoğan referred to the reconstruction efforts in Turkey’s southern earthquake-hit regions, saying: “Participating in the ceremony for the handover of the 455,000th housing unit built in 11 earthquake-stricken provinces is a source of encouragement and hope.”
He continued: “This achievement is the result of the dedicated efforts of 200,000 architects, engineers, and workers across 3,481 construction sites in 11 earthquake-affected provinces.”
