First R4 and E3 meeting with Turkey initiative
The meeting of foreign ministers of member countries of R four and R four E three mechanisms will be held tomorrow twenty three October in Istanbul In this meeting foreign ministers of Egypt Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will attend alongside their counterparts from member countries of R four mechanism This is the first time seven countries come together in R four E three format with Turkey initiative
Regional issues status of Strait of Hormuz developments in Yemen efforts to end Russia Ukraine war and cooperation of regional countries will be most important axes of negotiations
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is expected to emphasize solution of regional crises through diplomacy and dialogue and necessity of preventing spread of conflicts He is also expected to criticize Israel policies in Palestinian territories and emphasize preservation of historical and legal status of Jerusalem and confrontation with expansion of settlements
Fidan will also emphasize importance of freedom of navigation in Strait of Hormuz and Bab al Mandab for regional and global stability support for security of Saudi Arabia against Houthi actions and Ankara readiness to help solve Russia Ukraine crisis and prevent spread of conflicts to Black Sea
