Pakistans attacks on Afghanistan left 9 dead and 11 wounded
The spokesperson of the Taliban administration in Afghanistan announced that in Pakistan’s airstrikes on areas in Kunar and Helmand provinces, 9 people were killed and 11 people were wounded.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson of the Taliban administration in Afghanistan, announced: In this morning’s (Thursday) attacks by Pakistan, 3 houses in Kunar and Helmand provinces were destroyed. In these Pakistani airstrikes, 9 people were killed and 11 people were wounded.
According to Mujahid, women and children were also among the victims of these attacks.
Condemning these attacks, he wrote: “We consider this action an aggression and a crime in violation of all accepted principles.”
In contrast, the spokesperson of the Pakistani government announced: In these airstrikes, 22 “terrorists” were killed; quantities of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in these attacks.
Pakistan and Afghanistan have increasingly disagreed with each other in recent years over the activity of armed groups. Islamabad accuses Kabul of sheltering armed groups that carry out cross-border attacks against Pakistan from Afghan soil.
The Taliban administration rejects this accusation and says the issue of armed groups’ activity is an internal problem in Pakistan.
