22% Increase in Exports of Vehicles Produced in Turkey to Europe
Exports of vehicles manufactured in Turkey to European Union (EU) countries rose by 22% in the first six months of this year (2025) compared to the same period last year.
According to data from the Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB) and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the sector sold its products to over 200 countries, as well as independent and free trade zones, between January and June.
Automotive and related industry exports reached $17 billion 689 million 604 thousand in the first half of this year, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The data also shows that the automotive sector accounted for 15.2% of Turkey’s total exports.
The EU ranked first, with a 72.6% share in Turkey’s vehicle exports.
Germany and France were the top two export markets for vehicles produced in Turkey.
