Temperature Rise of 6-12 Degrees in Turkey Starting Tomorrow

According to official reports from the Turkish Meteorological Center, starting tomorrow, a significant increase in air temperature will be observed across the country. Forecasts indicate average temperatures will rise by 6 to 12 degrees Celsius compared to seasonal norms.

This weather change will begin in western Turkey and gradually affect other regions. Meteorological officials state this temperature increase will continue for several days before gradually returning to normal.

In some Turkish cities, temperatures will reach notable levels. For example, in Diyarbakır temperatures will reach 45 degrees, and in Şanlıurfa 44 degrees. Other major cities like Ankara and Istanbul will see temperatures of 37 and 36 degrees respectively.

Murat Kurum, Turkey’s Environment Minister, has urged citizens to take extra safety precautions in the coming days. He also warned these weather conditions may increase the risk of forest fires.

Meteorological experts attribute this phenomenon to a high-pressure weather system moving toward Turkey from the Mediterranean Sea. This weather system typically causes temperature increases during this season, but its intensity this year is predicted to be higher than usual.

According to the Turkish Meteorological Center, this temperature increase will first begin in western regions before spreading to other parts of the country. Forecasted temperatures for some cities:

Edirne: 42 degrees
İzmir: 40 degrees
Antalya: 40 degrees
Adana: 39 degrees
Diyarbakır: 45 degrees
Şanlıurfa: 44 degrees
Aydın: 44 degrees
Ankara: 37 degrees
Istanbul: 36 degrees
Erzurum: 32 degrees
