Iran’s Ambassador: Increase in Specialized Meetings Between Iran and Turkey to Develop Trade
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkey said: Specialized meetings to remove obstacles and increase the volume of trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey will be increased, because the two countries have a serious determination to achieve this goal.
Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Tabatabai considered the opening of the Gurbulak border crossing in Turkey as a sign of that country’s serious determination to develop trade with Iran, and added: We will try to create the necessary infrastructure reciprocally on Iran’s side as well to increase bilateral cooperation.
Referring to the specialized customs and trade meetings held by representatives of the two countries on the sidelines of the opening of the Gurbulak crossing, he stated: In these meetings, the Turkish Minister of Trade and the Director General of Turkish Customs exchanged views with the Governor and the delegation dispatched from West Azerbaijan to remove obstacles to cooperation.
The Ambassador of Iran to Turkey stated: The necessary viewpoints were raised in these meetings, and in the coming weeks, through the holding of joint meetings, final conclusions and decisions will be made in this regard.
