Erdoğan and Barzani Meeting Emphasizes Lasting Peace in the Region
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, met and held talks with Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, at the hotel where the Turkish President was staying. The meeting was also attended by Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Alparslan Bayraktar, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.
During the meeting, Erdoğan assessed that the ongoing crises in the region are a factor draining the capacities of nations and stated: Ankara, in cooperation with the relevant countries, has increased its efforts to completely end the war and achieve lasting peace.
The Turkish President also described maintaining calm and stability in Iraq as vital and emphasized its importance for the entire region.
