Israel’s concern over America’s messages to Turkey
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported in an article about America’s readiness to sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey that the Tel Aviv government is concerned about the close relationship between Trump and Erdoğan.
According to the report, senior Israeli officials have sent a message to the Trump administration declaring that Tel Aviv opposes the potential sale of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.
Israeli officials have expressed concern about this matter, stating that this sale could lead to a reduction in Tel Aviv’s “qualified” military superiority in the region.
The report noted: The anti-Israel statements of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, are increasing. In recent months, Erdoğan has intensified his verbal attacks against Israel, saying “May God destroy Zionist Israel”; Erdoğan has called Israel a “terrorist state.”
