Second School Shooting in Turkey Leaves 4 Dead
Following news of a shooting at a school in southeastern Turkey that left 16 injured, another shooting in the south of the country resulted in 4 deaths and 20 injuries.
The Governor of Kahramanmaraş province in southeastern Turkey told reporters: “Four people were killed and 20 others were injured on Wednesday following a shooting by a middle school student at a school in our province.”
He added that one of the deceased was a teacher, and the shooter was a student who used his father’s weapons to carry out the attack. The shooter was also killed.
School shootings are a rare occurrence in Turkey.
