Emphasis on Iran’s Stability and Opposition to Foreign Intervention
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone conversation.
According to a statement from the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the bilateral relations between the two countries and regional issues were discussed during the call.
President Erdoğan stated that he has been closely following the developments in Iran.
He emphasized, “Turkey attaches great importance to peace and stability in Iran and does not approve of any scenario of foreign intervention in Iran’s internal affairs under any circumstances.”
Erdoğan added, “Resolving the challenges and preventing the escalation of tensions in the region will also be in Turkey’s interest.”
