Telephone Conversation Between the Presidents of Turkey and Lebanon
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during which they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of Turkey, the conversation addressed issues related to cooperation between the two countries as well as regional matters.
In the call, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey is ready to contribute within international mechanisms to support Lebanon’s security. He also urged Lebanon to adopt an approach that takes into account the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriots.
The President of Turkey further underlined his country’s continued support for fundamental changes in Syria aimed at contributing to regional stability, and rejected Israel’s aggressive stance against Lebanon.
