Turkish Foreign Minister Warns at BRICS: Israel’s Aggression Will Have Global Consequences
Our correspondent reports that during the session on “Strengthening Multilateralism, Economic-Financial Issues, and Artificial Intelligence,” Fidan emphasized that Israel’s genocide in Gaza threatens decades of efforts for stability in the region. He stated, “The dire situation of the Palestinians is a test for the legitimacy of international institutions responsible for peace and security. If this aggression is not controlled, its consequences will be global.”
The Turkish Foreign Minister also stressed the need to strengthen a fair international trade system and the rules governing energy and mineral supply chains. Describing AI governance in a multipolar world as a critical challenge, he warned, “Artificial intelligence must not become a tool of oppression.”

Meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister
On the sidelines of the summit, Fidan held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi. While details of the discussions were not disclosed, regional issues, including Gaza, were expected to be a key focus.
