Awaiting the announcement of dissolution and disarmament by the PKK
Following the recent congress held by the terrorist group PKK in the so-called Media Defense Areas of Kurdistan, rumors are circulating about the possible announcement of the group’s dissolution and disarmament by its commanders in the Qandil Mountains.
According to sources close to the PKK, the group made historic decisions during its 12th congress held from May 5th to 7th. The details of these decisions have not yet been publicly released, but it has been promised that the relevant documents will soon be made available to the media.
In this regard, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, made ambiguous statements today, saying, “You may receive good news at any moment, and you certainly will.”
These remarks have fueled speculation about major structural changes within the PKK.

On the other hand, Turkish journalist Çetiner Çetin predicted during a live television program that the PKK may issue an official statement tomorrow, May 11th, coinciding with Mother’s Day, at 13:00 local time. According to him, the choice of this date may have symbolic significance.
While Turkish officials have not officially commented on the details of this matter, regional security sources emphasize that any announcement by the PKK must be carefully scrutinized to confirm its authenticity or tactical nature.
