Held behind closed doors at the Royal Palace without media presence, the bilateral talks focused on Turkey-U.S. relations, as well as regional and global issues.
During the meeting, Erdoğan emphasized the high potential for cooperation between the two countries in areas such as energy and investments, stating, “Strengthening collaboration in the defense industry could facilitate reaching the goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $100 billion.”
He also praised the Israel-Iran ceasefire, achieved through Trump’s efforts, and called for its continuation. Erdoğan stressed the need to end the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza and highlighted the importance of close dialogue for a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war.
