Erdoğan officially welcomes the Prime Minister of Iraq in Ankara

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, officially welcomed Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, in Ankara.

Mounted units welcomed the official vehicle of the Iraqi Prime Minister on the street opposite the Turkish Presidential Complex and escorted it to the protocol gate.

President Erdoğan welcomed al-Sudani at the main entrance of the complex.

After Erdoğan and al-Sudani took their places at the ceremony venue, the national anthems of both countries were played.

The Prime Minister of Iraq saluted the honor guard by saying, “Greetings, soldier.”

Erdoğan and al-Sudani shook hands and took a commemorative photo on the steps in front of the flags of both countries.

Then, bilateral meetings and inter-delegation discussions began.
