Erdoğan: Turkey has become a global power
President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared that his country has reached a strong position to compete with the world in all fields.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History in Ankara to pay tribute to the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Erdoğan emphasized: “The Republic of Turkey, which Atatürk described as his ‘greatest work,’ has today become a country capable of competing globally in every field.”
Erdoğan added: “We have accomplished tasks that were considered impossible, tasks they said we could not achieve. Over the past 23 years, we have repeatedly shown how one can serve the Republic.”
The President of Turkey also noted: “Just as we oppose those who, under the mask of Atatürk, show hostility toward the nation in social media and politics, we also oppose any insulting remarks directed at Gazi Mustafa Kemal.”
