Turkish: Israel must be held accountable for its aggressions in Palestine
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement calling on the international community to end the immunity of the Zionist regime for its crimes. The statement emphasized the necessity of prosecuting those responsible for the ongoing aggressions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Turkish statement said: “We call on the international community to ensure that Israel does not remain immune from punishment for its ongoing aggressions in Palestine, and that those responsible for these actions are tried in competent courts.”
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly condemned the terrorist attacks and massacres of Palestinian civilians by Zionist settlers in various areas of the West Bank.
Local Palestinian sources reported that in last night’s attack by Zionist settlers on the town of Beit Amrin, northwest of Nablus, eight Palestinians from one family, including an infant, were wounded. The settlers attempted to set fire to the family’s home and also burned a vehicle in the area.
On the other hand, extremist groups known as “Heikhal” have issued calls encouraging settlers, on the anniversary of the occupation of Palestine, to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque while carrying Israeli flags.
In this regard, dozens of extremist settlers, supported by Israeli soldiers, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Bab al-Magharibah gate since this morning.
According to the Islamic Waqf Administration in occupied Jerusalem, after entering the mosque’s courtyards, the settlers conducted provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the mosque.
Reports indicate that some of these individuals appeared in the mosque’s courtyards wearing clothes emblazoned with the Israeli flag and chanted slogans in front of the Dome of the Rock.
Simultaneously, the Israeli police have imposed severe restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers and have established tight controls by confiscating ID cards at the mosque’s entrances. Apart from Fridays and Saturdays, the Al-Aqsa Mosque regularly witnesses incursions by settlers and Israeli soldiers; actions carried out to consolidate control and implement gradual changes to the status of the mosque.
