Kurtulmuş: Activities of the Terror-Free Turkey Commission in Parliament Will Begin in Early August
Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), emphasized the establishment of the “Terror-Free Turkey Commission” in Parliament, stating: “We will initiate these efforts as soon as possible, at the beginning of August.”
He further elaborated:
“With the participation of all political parties, representing the nation, we will take steps toward the process of eliminating terrorism and the disarmament of terrorist groups. Additionally, we have established a commission called ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ to prepare and implement any necessary political and legal reforms in this process. God willing, we will begin our activities in the earliest possible time, in early August.”
Kurtulmuş added:
“This commission, formed with the shared resolve of all parties in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, will create a framework for discussions where diverse perspectives will be debated, various opinions will be considered, and ultimately, decisions will be made that will undoubtedly benefit the nation and the country.”
He continued:
“Especially at a time when regional countries are being pushed deeper into the quagmire of terrorism, Turkey will be a country that has left the issue of terrorism behind. We will all work together toward this goal, and our nation will support this process with unity and solidarity.”
