The meeting of foreign ministers of the Caucasus regional cooperation mechanism, known as 3+3, consisting of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia, and Russia, began this morning (Friday, October 27) in Istanbul, Turkey, with the presence of the foreign ministers of Iran, Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia. Bilateral meetings with the participating ministers and high-ranking officials of the host country on the sidelines of this summit are also on the agenda for the foreign minister of our country. At the beginning of this meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan officially welcomed Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.
Before arriving in Istanbul, Araghchi traveled to Jordan and Egypt, where he consulted and exchanged opinions with senior officials of these countries regarding the most important regional developments, especially the wars in Gaza and Lebanon. Istanbul is the ninth destination of the foreign minister’s regional tour in recent days.
