Turkey, a Major Exporter of Household and Kitchenware to Over 150 Countries
The President of the Turkish Kitchenware Manufacturers and Exporters Association announced that Turkey exports household and kitchenware products to more than 150 countries worldwide, a position that makes the country one of the key players in this industry at the international level.
The 23rd International Housewares Summit was held in Antalya, organized in cooperation with the Kitchenware Manufacturers and Exporters Association (ZÜCDER) and the Home and Kitchenware Industrialists and Exporters Association (EVSİD), with the participation of owners and buyers from 112 companies representing 53 countries.
Burak Önder, President of ZÜCDER, highlighting the wide export range of kitchen products such as plates, glasses, and pots, stated: “Turkey ranks between sixth and seventh in the global kitchenware export market, which is a highly significant position.”
He added: “Last year, exports in the household kitchenware sector amounted to approximately 3.3 billion dollars, while exports in the industrial kitchenware sector reached nearly 3 billion dollars.”
Önder emphasized: “If we can increase the export value per kilogram, achieving a place among the world’s top five exporting countries will be entirely possible.”
