Turkish President Meets with Member of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Turkish President met and talked with a member of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina: During the meeting between the Turkish President and a member of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issues of this country and the Balkan region were discussed and exchanged.

According to the Turkish Presidential Communications Center, during the meeting between President Erdogan and Denis Becirovic, a member of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the latest situation in the country and regional developments in all aspects were discussed and reviewed.

Erdogan said he was closely following developments following the court ruling against Miloš Dodik, the head of the Serb-dominated section of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was in contact with regional leaders on the matter.

Erdogan also said that tensions should end as soon as possible within the framework of legal order and rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that more efforts should be made to achieve broad social consensus in the country.

In his meeting with Becirovic, Erdogan noted that unity and integrity in Bosnia and Herzegovina are essential and that separatist approaches are unacceptable.

The Turkish President continued by stating that, given the increasing regional and global security problems in the Balkans, maintaining peace and stability in the region is of great importance. Erdogan also announced that Turkey will continue to support the territorial integrity, sovereignty and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will always support the maintenance of peace and stability in this country in all aspects.
