92 Suspects Arrested in Operations Against ISIS in Turkey
Turkey’s Interior Minister announced that during large-scale operations conducted across 22 provinces against the terrorist organization ISIS, 92 suspects were detained.
Ali Yerlikaya stated on a social media platform: These individuals were apprehended by gendarmerie teams during a two-week operation for providing financial support to ISIS and disseminating the group’s propaganda through social media accounts.
He added that the operations were carried out in coordination with the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor and the Counterterrorism Department of the Gendarmerie General Command, in the provinces of Adana, Aksaray, Antalya, Bursa, Çanakkale, Çankırı, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Mersin, Osmaniye, Siirt, Tekirdağ, and Yozgat.
Yerlikaya emphasized: “Our operations continue day and night, 365 days a year, to ensure peace and stability in every region of our country. I sincerely thank all the forces involved for their efforts.”
