Araghchi to Merz: Europe will pay the price for supporting an attack on Iran
Iran’s Foreign Minister, reacting to the German Chancellor’s remarks about imposing more than one hundred billion euros in energy costs on Europe due to tensions between the US and Iran, warned: “Red lines no longer belong to the past.”
Abbas Araghchi, publishing a message on social networks and reposting a news item about the remarks of Friedrich Merz, the German Chancellor, wrote: Last year, when the bombing of Iran by Israel and the US began, Merz welcomed these attacks.
Referring to the German Chancellor’s position, Iran’s Foreign Minister stated that Merz had described Israel’s attacks on Iran as a step toward doing Europe’s “dirty work.”
Araghchi further warned that the one hundred billion euro cost mentioned by Merz is insignificant compared with the “shocking blows” that Iran’s armed forces will inflict on those who dare to harm Iran.
At the end of his message, he emphasized: “Red lines no longer belong to the past.”
