Diplomatic meetings of Erdogan at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum
This forum, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and organized in cooperation with Anadolu Agency as a global communications partner, was held from April 11th to 13th at the Nest Convention Center in Antalya. It welcomed representatives from 155 countries, including 21 presidents and prime ministers, 64 ministers, and over six thousand participants.
Erdogan, on the sidelines of this international event, held discussions with the leaders of various countries on topics such as ending Israeli attacks on Gaza, developments in Syria, combating terrorism, and efforts to establish lasting peace in Ukraine, conveying Turkey’s positions and messages.
The President of Turkey, within this framework, met with Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, and emphasized strengthening cooperation in areas such as energy, transportation, and the defense industry.
He also met and held discussions with Ahmad Shar’a, the President of Syria. In this meeting, Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the efforts related to preventing the return of instability to Syria.
Erdogan continued by meeting with Julius Maada Bio, the President of Sierra Leone, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the President of Somalia, and Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council. In these discussions, he emphasized the importance of bilateral and regional cooperation.

He also held meetings with Jakov Milatović, the President of Montenegro, and Vjosa Osmani, the President of Kosovo.
Following this, the President of Turkey held discussions with Nikolai Denkov, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Borjana Krišto, the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, and Mohammad Shtayyeh, the Prime Minister of Palestine.
In the meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, discussions were held regarding strategic cooperation between Ankara and Doha.
Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, the Prime Minister of Libya, was another official who met with Erdogan. In this meeting, the President of Turkey emphasized Turkey’s support for security and stability in Libya and the expansion of cooperation in all areas.
Erdogan then met with Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister of Hungary, and subsequently held discussions with Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. In this meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism and the role of the region in the Development Road project.
