Erdoğan: Most Victims of the Gaza Genocide Are Women and Children
The President of Turkey emphasized that in the Gaza genocide, out of 70,000 Palestinian martyrs, two-thirds are women and children.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a speech delivered at an event in Istanbul marking the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,” said: “In the Gaza genocide, out of 70,000 Palestinian martyrs, unfortunately two-thirds are women and children; a figure that is shocking and terrifying for any person with a conscience.”
He added: “In the past two years, no proper reaction was shown against the violence inflicted upon the women of Gaza. The identity of the perpetrators of violence and the victimhood of those oppressed reduced the level of responses.”
The Turkish President further stated: “Regardless of the identity of the oppressor or the oppressed, we will stand for what is right and proclaim the truth loudly in every arena.”
