Erdoğan’s Phone Call with the President of Venezuela
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, during which they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to a statement released on the official social media account of the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the two leaders reviewed cooperation between Ankara and Caracas, as well as current issues in the region.
In the call, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey closely follows regional developments and believes that problems can only be resolved through dialogue — a position that Ankara has consistently expressed in international forums.
The President also underlined the importance of keeping communication channels open between the United States and Venezuela, expressing hope that existing tensions would ease as soon as possible.
