Erdoğan’s Remarks on Gaza G20 Summit
Erdogan: The Republic of South Africa’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause is extremely valuable. This country took a courageous stance during the genocide in Gaza — in which 70,000 Palestinians were killed.
Erdogan: Turkey strongly and fearlessly supports the Palestinian cause and courageously defends the rights of Gaza’s oppressed people on all international platforms.
Erdogan: “I congratulate South Africa for its courageous stance in filing a genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice, and I salute it with respect.”
Erdogan: It is important for us that the G20 assume a leadership role for the international community in facing the world’s current and future challenges.
President Erdogan: Global peace will never be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Erdogan: We will do everything in our power to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine. In this regard we have declared our full readiness and, God willing, we hope to succeed on this path.
Erdogan: The genocide catastrophe in Gaza and Palestine cannot be ignored; those responsible for this crime are Netanyahu and the Israeli regime.
Erdogan: Last week I met with Zelensky in Ankara and tomorrow I will have a phone conversation with Putin. Our efforts to create a grain corridor were in fact aimed at facilitating the path to peace.
