ISIS Media and Logistics Chief Arrested on Pakistan-Afghanistan Border
Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) claimed that in a joint operation with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Özgür Altun, one of the most prominent leaders of the ISIS terrorist group and a Turkish national, was captured on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Altun, who was on the red notice list, was known by the alias “Abu Yasir al-Turki” and was responsible for ISIS’s media and logistics operations.
According to information received from security sources, Altun organized the transfer of ISIS members from Europe and Central Asia to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He also played a key role in planning and carrying out terrorist attacks in Turkey and Europe.
