Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Turkey in Tehran
The Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey, Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Hakan Fidan, met and held talks at noon on Sunday, December 1, 2025, at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Esmaeil Baghai, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had announced yesterday the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister to Tehran. According to him, during this trip Fidan will meet not only with Araghchi but also with a number of senior Iranian officials, with discussions focusing on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
Hakan Fidan arrived in Tehran this morning and held his first official meeting in Iran’s 14th administration with his Iranian counterpart at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building. Previously, in August of last year, he had traveled to Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Fidan’s program during this visit includes talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister and other senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran on bilateral relations and regional and international issues.
