Production of domestic defense equipment against chemical and nuclear threats
Turkey’s Chemical Industry Machinery Company (MKE) has created an advanced shield against “chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear” threats by manufacturing domestic defense equipment. These products, compliant with NATO standards, provide reliable protection for the Turkish Armed Forces in the most challenging operational field conditions.
The company’s activities in countering the aforementioned threats are part of its broader responsibility in producing advanced weapon systems and ammunition for the Armed Forces. In the company’s R&D laboratories, advanced technologies are utilized for the design and production of indigenous protective equipment to ensure comprehensive safety coverage for forces deployed in high-risk areas.
Among these products are protective clothing, which are produced using double-layer technology in four main models with eight different configurations. This flexible design meets varying operational needs and mission requirements. These garments create an effective barrier against hazardous agents in vapor, liquid, and particulate forms, while providing high safety as well as the necessary mobility and comfort for tactical operations.
The company’s specialized respirator mask, with its wide anti-fog visor and very high particulate filtration capability, ensures respiratory safety. This mask maintains its performance in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees to +50 degrees Celsius without compromising the field of vision.
Completing this set are protective gloves, manufactured with high chemical resistance and high sensitivity at the fingertips. These gloves help maintain the control and efficiency of personnel even under adverse conditions such as rain, mud, and severe cold.
