The Turkish Ministry of National Defense denied the deployment of troops to Ukraine
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense, rejecting recent rumors, announced that there are no plans to send peacekeeping forces from Turkey to Ukraine, and that these claims are based solely on unconfirmed speculation.
Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, Press Advisor to the Ministry of National Defense, in his weekly press briefing, commemorated the 95th anniversary of the Victory of Malazgirt, the 104th anniversary of the Battle of Sakarya, and the 103rd anniversary of the Great Offensive, while outlining the ministry’s positions.
Referring to defense cooperation with Syria, he reported that technical visits are being planned to assess field requirements and to draft a joint roadmap aimed at strengthening that country’s defense capacity.
Aktürk also stated that the total length of destroyed tunnels in operational areas in Syria including Tel Rifaat and Manbij has so far reached 548 kilometers.
