Israel targets civilian facilities in Sanaa
The Israeli Air Force carried out several large-scale aggressive attacks targeting the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, as well as a number of other areas in the country. In these strikes, the Presidential Palace complex of Yemen, the “Haziz” power plant in southern Sanaa, two other power plants, a fuel depot, and the oil company warehouse on Al-Sittin Street in Sanaa were bombed.
Eyewitnesses reported powerful explosions and rising columns of smoke in various parts of the capital. Yemeni media stated that these attacks severely damaged civilian infrastructure, including the central Haziz power plant.
According to various sources, around 12 Israeli fighter jets dropped more than 30 bombs during the attacks. Media outlets affiliated with Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement announced that these strikes were carried out with the participation of the United States of America and had an overtly aggressive nature against Yemen’s sovereignty and civilian infrastructure.
