Condemnation of Crimes Against Iran by Pakistan
The Pakistani Defense Minister, while expressing solidarity with Iran against the aggressions of the United States and the Zionist regime, warned against the peace-disrupting actions of this regime in the region.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif, at the meeting of defense ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Bishkek, condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran, including the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the late leader of the Islamic Revolution, and declared solidarity with the people of Iran.
He called for a collective response from the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and efforts to resolve the crisis arising from the imposed war against Iran.
The Pakistani Defense Minister emphasized that Islamabad has always opposed any action that fuels instability in the region.
Khawaja Asif referred to the statement of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s defense ministers’ meeting in Tianjin, China, which had condemned military attacks on civilian targets and infrastructure in Iran, adding that the aggression of Israel and the United States has reached horrific proportions, and we witnessed the martyrdom of Iran’s supreme leader.
He stressed that Israel’s aggressions, which have been described as possible genocide by the International Court of Justice, undermine peace efforts and exacerbate humanitarian and security crises.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that Islamabad welcomes the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s statement on developments in the Middle East and appreciates its emphasis on the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law.
He added that Pakistan, as a credible mediator, has facilitated peaceful solutions to ensure regional stability, as the Middle East crisis has turned into a global shock.
In conclusion, the Pakistani Defense Minister emphasized that Pakistan firmly supports dialogue and diplomacy and rejects any mass killing and destruction that leads to unprecedented economic hardship.
