Turkish people’s support for Iran’s actions in the region
On Sunday at 3:00 PM Turkish time, a group of Turkish citizens will be gathering in front of the Iranian consulate to show their support for Iran’s actions in the region, particularly for the Sadiq’s Promise operation and the axis of resistance. This group is largely made up of Turkish Shiites who have consistently shown their support for Iran in various events. Annually, they hold a large gathering in Istanbul to mark the anniversary of Haj Qasim’s martyrdom. Unfortunately, some media outlets, including the pro-Erdoğan Yeni Shafaq newspaper, have labeled these Turkish Shiites as Iranian soldiers and infiltrators in Turkey. Despite these accusations, the group has chosen to rally under the slogan of “One Ummah (Shia)” in solidarity with Iran.
