Visit of Iran’s Defense Minister to Turkey
Amir Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Ankara for a two‑day visit.
The plane carrying Iran’s Defense Minister and his accompanying delegation landed at Ankara Airport. This visit is taking place at the invitation of Yaşar Güler, Turkey’s Minister of National Defense, and within the framework of developing military relations between the two countries.
Upon arrival, Yaşar Güler welcomed Brigadier General Nasirzadeh with a military ceremony at the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey. Following the welcoming ceremony, the two ministers presided over a meeting between the delegations of both countries.

Brigadier General Nasirzadeh, speaking to reporters in Ankara, stated that the development of relations between Tehran and Ankara would also lead to the development of relations in the defense field. Pointing to the influence of Iran and Turkey in regional, international, and Islamic world affairs, he emphasized: “The visit to Ankara will also help ensure stability and security along our common border with Turkey, which extends more than 500 kilometers. Strengthening defense and military relations between the two countries is essential, and this visit is being carried out for that purpose.”
During this visit, Iran’s Defense Minister will meet and hold talks with Yaşar Güler and several other Turkish military officials.
