900 Tons of Turkish Humanitarian Aid Sent to Gaza
All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safe transport and distribution of the humanitarian cargo of Turkey’s 17th “Kindness Ship” in Gaza.
Teams from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey (AFAD) implemented special precautions to guarantee the secure delivery of the aid to the Rafah border crossing.
The shipment, prepared under the coordination of AFAD and with the support of 17 non-governmental organizations, docked at Egypt’s Al-Arish Port on Friday noon.
During the unloading operation, 900 tons of humanitarian aid were discharged from the ship over two days and loaded onto 52 trucks. These trucks then set off toward the Rafah crossing to deliver the aid to the people of Gaza.
The cargo includes a variety of items such as infant formula, ready-to-eat food, and different types of canned goods.
To ensure the orderly conduct of loading and unloading operations, all packages were registered at Al-Arish Port, with details recorded on the type of each package and the NGO responsible for sending it.
