Attack on Russian Ship in the Black Sea
The Directorate General of Maritime Affairs of Turkey announced today (Tuesday) that a Russian ship en route to Georgia was attacked in the waters of the Black Sea.
According to officials, the ship was carrying a cargo of sunflower oil and came under attack 80 miles off the Turkish coast. They added that following the incident, the vessel proceeded toward northern Turkey and that all crew members are in good health.
It should be recalled that on November 28, two tankers named Kairos and Virat, sailing under the flag of Gambia, were also attacked by Ukraine near the Turkish coast. These tankers were heading toward Russia when they were targeted. The Kremlin spokesperson had stated that the attack on the tankers in Turkey’s territorial waters reflects the true nature of the Ukrainian regime.
