Caspian Airlines Aircraft Seized at Istanbul Airport
A passenger aircraft belonging to Iran’s Caspian Airlines was seized at Istanbul Airport due to a 3 million euro debt owed to a Turkish aviation company.
According to published reports, this action was taken following an enforcement order issued by the court regarding Caspian Airlines’ debt to the Turkey-based aviation company “ACM Air.”
Lawyers and court enforcement officers representing the creditor company arrived at Istanbul Airport and requested to block the flight of the aircraft registered as EP-KPB, which was preparing to board passengers for a flight to Iran.
Following this action, passengers and crew members were disembarked and transferred to the airport terminal, and the legal procedures for the seizure and impoundment of the aircraft were carried out.
