IRGC addresses the American people: Your leaders are sacrificing you for Israel
Hossein Mohebbi, spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said they had prepared a 25-page letter addressed to the American people, in which the real reasons for the attacks against Iran, as well as the reasons for the United States’ global aggression and its support for Israel, are explained.
At a press conference in Tehran, Mohebbi claimed that the United States conducts propaganda through 200 television channels and 100 radio stations.
Mohebbi, stating that they are addressing the American people directly on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, said that in this 25-page letter they want to explain the real reasons for the attacks on Iran, that the Washington government prioritizes Israel over the American people, and that despite spending billions of dollars on the arms industry, nothing but the hatred of people around the world has been achieved.
Mohebbi noted that the United States does not face a direct threat because of the oceans around it and the military weakness of neighboring countries; nevertheless, its defense budget reaches $1.1 trillion, and in its military interventions against countries with much smaller defense budgets, such as Iran and Afghanistan, it has achieved no success.
Mohebbi emphasized that the American people must see and question this contradiction. He said: “Why did America leave $85 billion in weapons in Afghanistan and flee? Why was it defeated against Iran? Why are there 39 million poor people on the streets of America, a country rich in energy and maritime resources? The American people must, by carefully reading this letter, question this matter and find out the truth.”
Mohebbi argued that America’s leaders do not care about the opinions or economic situation of their people, and the only priority is Israel’s interests. He stated: “We know that when an American citizen has an accident, they do not have the money to pay for the ambulance. This clearly shows that America’s leaders do not care at all about their own people.”
Mohebbi, stating that thanks to the letter they have prepared, the American people will become aware of the crimes and killings of the American government, said: “America has attacked various countries over the past 70 years. What have they gained except debt and global hatred? What are these attacks, aggressions, and thefts for? All these debts are on the shoulders of the American people. We have explained all of this in our letter.”
Mohebbi stated that 21,000 children in Gaza were killed with weapons that America had gifted to Israel, and added: “But Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been declared a terrorist organization. On what basis do they declare this?”
Mohebbi, recalling that America lied about having nuclear weapons before attacking Iraq, said: “They killed one million people because of this lie. They dragged Iraq into disaster and then claimed that there were no nuclear weapons.”
Mohebbi emphasized that when the Iranian people chant “Death to America,” they do not wish for America’s destruction, but merely express that these crimes by America must end. He added: “If America spent even 5 percent of its defense budget on the interests of humanity, it would become a beloved country.”
Mohebbi explained that the goal is to steal Iran’s underground and above-ground resources by using the pretext of nuclear weapons against Iran, and stated the following:
“For 25 years, they have been saying that Iran will obtain a nuclear weapon within a few weeks. Have those few weeks never passed in the past 25 years? If you are opposed to nuclear weapons, why did you withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty? Why did you assassinate our leader, who was opposed to producing nuclear weapons?”
In response to a question from an Associated Press reporter as to whether “Do you think this letter will affect the American election?” Mohebbi said: “We have no such intention. We merely want the American people to know the truth.”
Regarding American bases stationed in the region, Mohebbi stated: “These bases are now unusable. The countries of the region have now understood that America will not bring security here.” He added that the countries of the region are now concluding security agreements among themselves, and the first step in this process was the Mecca joint defense agreement.
Mohebbi also commented on the US naval blockade of Iran and stated that it is a war crime and a crime against humanity.
Mohebbi stated that they will prevent Iran from being harmed by the naval blockade, and argued that Iran has 15 neighbors and therefore the United States cannot disrupt Iran’s deep relations with its neighbors.
