Erdoğan: Gaza was destroyed with bombs 14 times stronger than Hiroshima
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at the 16th Ambassadors Conference held at the Beştepe Complex in Ankara, referred to the latest developments in Gaza and said: “Gaza has been destroyed with bombs 14 times stronger than the one dropped on Hiroshima. Under such circumstances, how can one speak of an effective international order?”
He noted that many mothers, wives, and children in Gaza are unaware of the fate of their loved ones, adding:
“A structure that unjustly supports the powerful and suppresses the oppressed has for decades been the source of instability, crisis, and injustice in the world.”
Erdoğan also addressed the Syrian crisis, stating:
“In Syria, massacres continued for more than 13 years, and most of those who claim to be champions of democracy and human rights did not react—except for countries with a conscience.” He described international institutions as “spiritless and inactive,” adding: “Today these institutions are like lifeless bodies that have lost their function.”
The Turkish President described Israel’s actions against Syria as “the greatest obstacle to lasting security and stability” and declared:
“The voluntary, safe, and dignified return of Syrian refugees will only accelerate with the consolidation of peace. So far, 580,000 people have returned to the country.”

Referring to the March 10 agreement in Syria, Erdoğan emphasized: “We are conducting the necessary consultations and recommendations to prevent this agreement from turning into a new crisis.”
In another part of his speech, Erdoğan said:
“To transform the current era into the Century of Türkiye, we are implementing a multidimensional policy step by step. Defending our national interests and supporting our friends and kin requires strengthening our economic, military, and diplomatic power.”
Pointing to humanitarian aid to Gaza, he added:
“Despite various restrictions, the process of sending aid is gradually increasing. We have sent more than 103,000 tons of aid and demonstrated the difference in our actions.”
Erdoğan also addressed regional relations, saying:
“Azerbaijan and Armenia are close to signing a peace agreement. In coordination with Baku, we are advancing the normalization process with Yerevan.”
He went on to stress the continued fight against the FETÖ network, the group behind the July 15 coup attempt, saying: “We will not allow this treacherous organization, which has become a tool in the hands of Turkey’s enemies, to once again pose a threat to our country and democracy.”
Finally, Erdoğan referred to developments in the Black Sea, warning: “Targeting commercial and civilian ships benefits no side, and we have conveyed this warning clearly and explicitly to both parties.”
