Erdoğan praises Trump’s efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a statement published on social media, expressed appreciation for the initiative and efforts of Donald Trump, President of the United States, to halt the bloodshed in Gaza and achieve a ceasefire.
Emphasizing Turkey’s support for a process that would lead to a “just and lasting peace,” Erdoğan declared: “Turkey, as an active actor, is ready to participate in all stages of the peace process and to contribute to the restoration of calm in the region.”
President Erdoğan also called on the international community to cooperate in resolving the Gaza crisis and to create conditions that would enable all parties to reach a comprehensive and sustainable agreement.
