Erdoğan: The establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is inevitable
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at the Teknofest festival in Istanbul, once again underlined his country’s commitment to protecting Al-Quds Al-Sharif and said: “Al-Quds Al-Sharif is the honor and dignity of Muslims and of all humanity. We will not give you the Silwan Inscription, nor will we hand over even a single pebble of Jerusalem.”
Condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza, Erdoğan addressed what he called “the criminals whose hands are stained with the blood of 65,000 innocent Gazans,” and added: “Jerusalem, together with the Muslims, is the source of dignity and honor for all humanity.”
Erdoğan also reaffirmed Turkey’s support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders, and pledged that his country would continue to defend the rights of Muslims and followers of all religions in Jerusalem. He praised the resistance of the people of Gaza, paid tribute to the martyrs, and wished recovery for the wounded.
Youth and Technological Progress
The President highlighted the strong presence of young people at Teknofest, saying: “Our youth, with their courage and innovations, are laying the foundations of a powerful Turkey. This year, more than 1.2 million participants from 96 countries took part in the festival.” He also announced the launch of the domestic social media platform NSosyal, which has already attracted more than 1.3 million users.
Turkish defense industries
Erdoğan went on to emphasize his country’s defense achievements, stating: “Today, Turkey ranks among the world’s top three countries in drone technology and is the 11th largest exporter of defense products. These successes were not given to us; they were achieved through the hard work and sacrifices of our nation.”
