Hebrew Media Warns of Possible Israeli Attack on Turkey
The Zionist newspaper Haaretz, in a new analysis highlighting the escalation of tensions between Turkey and the Zionist regime, has raised the possibility of Tel Aviv attacking Ankara, describing it as a “strategic earthquake” with global repercussions.
Citing a recent claim by Shin Bet that members of Hamas based in Turkey had attempted to assassinate Israel’s Minister of Internal Security — a claim Ankara has rejected — the paper warned that a military confrontation between the two countries, both considered Western allies, is no longer an unthinkable scenario.
According to Haaretz, Turkey’s open support for Hamas, the imposition of air and sea restrictions against Israel, and the increasingly sharp rhetoric of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have brought the country to a level of confrontation with Tel Aviv that could lead to war. In response, Israel has reacted strongly by recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
The newspaper identifies Syria as the boiling point of tensions; a place where forces from both sides are stationed in the north and south, and where recent incidents — including Israel’s attack on Turkish equipment — have heightened the risk of direct conflict.
Haaretz concludes by warning that the outbreak of a possible war would bring about fundamental changes not only in the Middle East but also in NATO’s security structure and the global balance of power.
