Pourjamshidian added that both sides emphasized the implementation of previous agreements, the revival of contact group meetings, the regular convening of border commanders, strengthening contact points in the fields of counterterrorism and illegal migration, adherence to technical standards in the construction of border facilities, and the preservation of natural watercourses.
He underlined that the responsible agencies in both countries were tasked with seriously pursuing the agreements in order to enhance border security and promote more effective security and intelligence cooperation between Iran and Turkey.
The First Deputy Minister of Interior concluded by saying that, in line with the implementation of the provisions of this memorandum, a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon travel to Turkey to review the process of following up and executing the agreements.
