Meeting of the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development with the President of Azerbaijan in Baku
Farzaneh Sadegh, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the head of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan, traveled to Baku and held talks with Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan. This meeting was part of the governmental commission’s session on economic, commercial, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, aimed at discussing bilateral issues and enhancing collaborations.
During this three-day meeting, the latest status of joint projects in the fields of transportation, customs, oil and gas, energy, and preferential trade was reviewed, and necessary negotiations were conducted to address potential obstacles. Additionally, field visits to border projects and the unveiling of the Persian and Azerbaijani versions of the Joint Economic Commission document were among the other programs of this trip.
Suggestions were also made for drafting new agreements in the areas of transportation and border affairs, to pave the way for future cooperation and the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baku.
