President Erdoğan’s Telephone Conversations with Leaders of Pakistan and Ukraine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in separate telephone calls with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasized the need to enhance cooperation and to continue efforts toward establishing lasting peace.
In his conversation with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments. Erdoğan expressed his condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan that claimed lives, and affirmed Türkiye’s readiness to provide additional assistance.
In his telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine, the discussions focused on bilateral relations, the peace process between Kyiv and Moscow, and key regional and global issues. Erdoğan congratulated Zelensky on Ukraine’s Independence Day and reiterated that Türkiye would continue its efforts to end the war with a just and lasting peace, as well as to support Ukraine’s security once peace is achieved. He also stated that Ankara is prepared to facilitate high-level contacts aimed at advancing peace.
