Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and Süleyman Demirel University
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and Turkey’s Süleyman Demirel University. Under this agreement, the two universities will cooperate in areas such as faculty and student exchange, implementation of joint research projects, organization of international courses and seminars, and the expansion of academic activities.
Seyyed Basir Hashemi, President of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, described the signing of this memorandum at the ceremony as an effective step toward strengthening scientific diplomacy and expanding international cooperation. He said Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, as the medical hub of southern Iran, has always emphasized the expansion of scientific interactions and the exchange of experiences at both regional and global levels. According to him, this memorandum can provide a suitable platform for knowledge transfer, advancement of new technologies, and improvement of health indicators in both countries.
Hashemi expressed hope that the continuation of this cooperation would lead to higher scientific, research, and technological achievements in the field of medical sciences and ultimately contribute to improving the health of the people of Iran and Turkey.
Âlem Kuşar, Vice President of Süleyman Demirel University in Turkey, also expressed satisfaction with the start of this cooperation, calling the signing of the memorandum a turning point in the development of scientific and research relations between the two countries. He added that cooperation with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, as one of the most prestigious medical education centers in Iran, represents a valuable opportunity to enhance the scientific, educational, and research activities of Süleyman Demirel University.
