Six ISIS Terrorists Killed in Yalova
This morning, Turkish security forces carried out an operation against members of the terrorist group ISIS in the village of Elmalık (Elmalık), located in the central district of Yalova (Yalova).
During the operation, the suspects opened fire on police officers, which led to an armed clash. According to initial reports, several police officers were wounded.
Ali Yerlikaya (Ali Yerlikaya), Turkey’s Minister of Interior, announced in an official statement that three police officers were martyred in the clashes. He also reported that eight police officers and one security guard were injured. Yerlikaya added that six ISIS members were killed in the exchange of fire.

Due to the presence of women and children at the scene, the operation was conducted with special sensitivity. In the end, five women and six children were safely evacuated from the house where the clash took place. The operation concluded at 9:40 a.m.
Following the incident, the Radio and Television Supreme Council of Turkey (RTÜK) temporarily banned television broadcasts. The Yalova Governor’s Office also announced that classes in five schools in the area were suspended, and entry of civilians and vehicles into the conflict zone was prohibited. Electricity and natural gas in the area were also temporarily cut off.
At the end of his remarks, the Minister of Interior emphasized: “Our martyrs sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of our beloved nation. They are heroes who were martyred while performing their duty.” He extended condolences to the grieving families and the people of Turkey, and wished a swift recovery for the wounded.
