The Opening of the 6th International Teknofest in Istanbul
The “6th International Teknofest” began today at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, once again drawing attention to Turkey and the country’s technological capabilities. This event is organized in cooperation with the Turkey Technology Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and this year it is accompanied by a new record in participation.
The opening program of the festival featured demonstration flights by the “SoloTürk” and “Turkish Stars” teams. In these shows, F-16 fighter jets, indigenous Atak helicopters, the Hürkuş training aircraft, and Bayraktar TB2, TB3, Akıncı, and Anka drones took part, showcasing a portion of Turkey’s aviation and defense industry capabilities.

On the sidelines of the festival, an exhibition of national vehicles in the fields of land, sea, and air has been set up. In addition, educational workshops, flight simulators, and scientific programs for children and teenagers have created an educational and entertaining environment for families. The organizers emphasize that the goal goes beyond displaying technology, aiming to create a comprehensive experience for different age groups.
This year’s Teknofest, by combining scientific and cultural programs, has provided a diverse experience for visitors. The organization of concerts and the opportunity for students to experience flight are among the programs that take the festival beyond being merely a technological showcase.

In recent years, Teknofest has become a symbol of reliance on domestic capacities and a display of Turkey’s scientific and industrial strength. In addition to presenting the host country’s technological and defense achievements, this festival has provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge among researchers, universities, and technology companies from different countries.
