Turkey Calls for the Integration of the SDF into the Syrian Army
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that the terrorist group “SDF” must adhere to the process of integration with the Syrian Army and refrain from any actions or statements that could undermine Syria’s political unity and territorial integrity.
Officials from the ministry, speaking at the weekly press briefing, emphasized that the SDF’s failure to fulfill its commitments regarding disarmament and integration with the Syrian state constitutes a serious threat to regional security.
According to them, Turkey will continue to monitor this process and, if necessary, will provide all forms of support to safeguard its national security and to help stabilize Syria.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense also called on countries around the world to take concrete steps to ensure the United Nations plays an effective role in delivering justice and countering the injustices suffered by the Palestinian people.

About the SDF
The Syrian Democratic Forces (Syrian Democratic Forces – SDF) are a military coalition composed of Kurdish forces—particularly the People’s Protection Units (YPG)—along with a number of Arab, Assyrian, and other minority groups.
Formed in 2015 in northern and northeastern Syria, the coalition operates mainly in the provinces of Hasakah, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor, as well as parts of Aleppo. Over the past years, especially in the fight against ISIS, the SDF has received support from the US-led international coalition.
The Government of Turkey regards the Syrian Democratic Forces as an extension of the PKK and designates it as a “terrorist organization.”
